Chester Half Marathon

We have decided to run the Chester half marathon for RASASC (Rape and sexual abuse support centre). We have chosen this charity as it is something close to our hearts and a topic we feel strongly about. 

1 in 4 women have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult. 
1 in 6 children have been sexually abused. 
1 in 18 men have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult. 

We have chosen this charity because the work they do for women, children and men is incredible. They work tirelessly supporting victims of abuse and assault. We would like to raise the money by running the Chester half marathon so they can continue to do the outstanding work and to spread awareness of rape and sexual abuse. 

We have chosen the Chester half marathon as a challenge because I (Sophie) 4 weeks ago could barely run up the stairs, never mind 13 miles. Im more than sure the roads will be reopened by the time I finish but I will finish! 

Georgia's athletic ability is moderate due to her walking 10k steps every day for the past 70 days (Psycho) and smashing the gym. But it will still be a challenge for our little walkaholic friend. 

As for Elinor, this will hardly be a challenge because she runs marathons in her sleep but she's our 'Mr motivator' - So she's coming. 

We have began our training for this and as its so gruelling we would like to raise money for a special cause to keep up us motivated.
