Clearwater Manchester Team take on the Manchester Half Marathon

Clearwater Manchester Team are raising money for Olly's Future and The Factory Youth Zone

Our story

Clearwater's Manchester Team are taking on the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October.

Please help us raise much-needed funds for these two amazing charities, Manchester Youth Zone (MYZ) and Olly's Future, read below for further details.

MYZ is the place in North Manchester for young people aged 8-19 (up to 25 with additional needs) to raise their aspirations and enjoy healthier, happier lives. Where, they can try new things that will send confidence skyrocketing, reach goals that will set them up to chase their dreams.  Gaining skills, friends and the resilience to live life to the full.  MYZ is a safe space open when schools are shut, where young people will always have someone there for them.  Offering over 20 different activities per evening. Whether it’s having a roller disco, personal training in the gym, earning a bike by committing to our bike maintenance course or writing and performing plays, plus there’s a climbing wall, boxing gym, music room and much more in between!

Olly’s Future was formed by friends and family of Olly Hare who died by suicide on 14th February, 2017, aged 22.

Their primary focus is on saving young lives from suicide. Through collaborative partnerships with medical schools, GP surgeries, and local authorities, they implement comprehensive suicide prevention initiatives and training programmes.

Everything at Olly's Future is in memory of Olly Hare. His friends and family were devastated when they lost him and came together to celebrate his amazing life and create a legacy of hope. Young people are at the heart of our charity and our Trustees are Olly's friends who were deeply affected by Oliver's death by suicide. These young people recognise that friends and peers are crucial in spotting when someone is thinking of suicide, to help keep them safe. Therefore, they are passionate about ensuring other young people have these life-saving skills.

Then you could end with a thank you or 'support from you means we can share Olly’s love and light and help stop our amazing young people from losing their lives to suicide'.

Thank you for checking out our page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Olly's Future and The Factory Youth Zone.
