BICA Bike Ride 2025 - Con Cunningham

On the road again..
 
This is my 25th year involved with the Birmingham Irish Cycle appeal (BICA).
During that time the team has raised 1 million 250 thousand for various charities, thanks to your generosity

This year has an even more personal significance as a close friend and work colleague Rick Bonewell and my nephew’s wife Laura Cunningham are both currently going through treatment for a brain tumour.

My grandson Christy is living with Cystic Fibrosis, the cystic fibrosis ward is in need of extensive refurbishment to continue treating patients and working to improve the lives of those living with CF, and we want to help them continue to do so.

As you can see from the list of charities below, there are so many types of cancers that unfortunately many of us are affected by in some way, whether it be personally or a family member or friend.  I know so many people with different types of cancer and they all need funding for research and help in their recovery.

I am doing this bike ride not only to raise money for these charities but also in memory of Adam Kane who sadly passed away following a battle with a brain tumour.

We will be cycling 500 miles along the East coast of Ireland, from Giants Causeway all the way to Blarney in the Southwest.

I am asking again for your support to help all of these charities.
