10km for youth in conflict

On July 14th I am running in the British 10km race through central London. I will be raising money for the Akhalgori Youth School.

This is an initiative run by Tamar Mearakishvili, a courageous woman trying to sustain relations between Georgian and South Ossetian youth in the wake of the August 2008 war.

Tamar has managed to keep the school open providing an array of classes to children from Georgian and Ossetian families, whose communities are now divided. It acts as a community centre, providing a safe space for people to meet.

The school is kept alive through voluntary contributions so any support you can give will be gratefully received. All the money we raise will go directly to the school. More info: c-r.org/akhalgori-youth-school
