Cabbage Patch 10- for CPCC

We currently have two runners training to complete the Cabbage Patch 10 event on the 19th of October 2008. They are running in aid of the Crossway Pregnancy Crisis Centre a small local charity based in East Twickenham. (More info on what we do later) This is a ten mile run on a circular route which begins and ends in Twickenham at the Cabbage Patch Pub. The runners are seeking sponsorship from both individuals and corporates.
I love running it keeps me fit and is an excellent way to de-stress. I work for the Crossway Pregnancy Crisis Centre and am so aware of the need for what we do. Those facing a crisis pregnancy really need someone who is able to listen to them, give them time and space and has the information they need to make their decision. We stand by them whatever that decision is. We also offer post-abortion and miscarriage listening and support. We offer free pregnancy testing.
In addition to these services we run and education service Your Choice which goes into schools giving free high quality teaching on sex and relationships. We aim to give young people the message that they are valuable and worth good choices. Our aims are to help them think critically, and develop an awareness of their choices; to develop understanding of physical and emotional aspects of relationships and sex and to equip them with information about risks and what to do if they need help.
