Land’s End to John O’Groats.
Over hundreds of miles, countless climbs, aching legs, exhaustion, rain, wind and moments when I genuinely wondered if I had anything left to give.
But I kept going.
And standing at John O’Groats, looking back at what I’d just achieved, I realised this was never just about cycling.
There was a time when I was struggling with anxiety and depression and couldn’t see where life was going. I know what it feels like to feel lost, overwhelmed and like things will never get better.
Today, I’m standing at the other end of that journey — tired, emotional, incredibly proud and in recovery.
Every pedal stroke meant something.
Every climb reminded me that even when the road gets brutally hard, you can keep moving forward.
And that’s why raising money for North Wales Recovery Communities has meant so much to me. If this challenge can help even one person who is struggling realise that recovery is possible, then every painful mile was worth it.
To everyone who donated, shared my fundraiser, sent me messages, checked in on me, encouraged me or simply believed I could do it:
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. ❤️
You helped me get to John O’Groats.
But more importantly, you helped turn something that started as a personal challenge into something that could genuinely help other people.
I started this journey wondering how far I could push myself.
I finished it knowing that I’m capable of far more than I ever thought.
LEJOG — DONE. 🏴🚴♂️🏁
And this is only the beginning. ❤️

My story
I will be cycling from lands end to john groats.
From the 18th of august to the 1st of september, I will be cycling over 900 miles from lands end to the top of the scottish border john groats. in support of North Wales Recovery Communities and in memory of derek tarburton who sadly passed away after a long battle with cancer. I have Cycled from north wales to cardiff three times for charitys, but this is my biggest challenge yet and this one is for a special cause. North wales recovery helps alot with mental health, and it means so much to me.
All donations raised will go towards buying outdoor equipment, so more people in recovery can access the outdoors and experience the benefits it brings to mental wellbeing.
Spending time in nature, feeling connected, and sharing experiences with others has been a massive part of my own recovery. This Cycle is about giving that opportunity back — creating space for connection, movement, and healing in the open air.
My planned route will start on the 18th:-
Day 1: lands end - launceston 94 miles
Day 2: launceston - wellington 69 miles
Day 3: Wellington - Gloucester 108 miles
Day 4: Gloucester - Newport (Telford & Wrekin) 89 miles
Day 5: Newport - Chorley 84 miles
Day 6: Chorley - Sedbergh 68 miles
day 7: Sedbergh - Lochmaben 87 miles
Day 8: Lochmaben - South Queensferry 79 miles
Day 9: South Queensferry - Pitlochry 66 miles
Day 10: Pitlochry - Inverness 99 Miles
Day 11: Inverness - Tongue 91 miles
Day 12: Tongue - John groats....
I will be doing this without any support so any encouragement would help alot id be more than thankfull.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it will go directly towards helping others access the grounding, healing power of nature.
