David Collins is raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association and Leeds Hospitals Charity
My story
I am doing my little bit in the fight against MND, a horribly cruel condition. Half the money raised will go to the Motor Neurone Disease Association and half will go to Leeds Hospital charity - specifically towards building the Rob Burrow centre for MND.
Having raised money for MND over the last few years, this one feels extra special with being named after Rob Burrow. A man who in his darkest times has opened himself and his family up to the world when he could of easily hidden away. His influence on giving this awful disease exposure is absolutely immeasurable. Warrior of a man with an incredible family.

💙Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon🧡 after last years disappointment with my injury race week, this has laid heavy on me. I am over the moon to get it done. I don’t think the elite runners have much to worry about anytime soon but I’m really happy with my time. It’s an extremely hilly route and the weather wasn’t ideal. Well done to all who did the half and the marathon and thoughts with the poor buggers who succumbed to the heat. I started fundraising in 2020 for MND and have now raised £7,500 as things stand and that’s down to you lot donating your hard earned cash time and time again, in what’s a dismal time for everyone financially. I couldn’t be more thankful, truly.
