Event date: 30th November 2013
Deborah Hayman is raising money for Cherry Trees School Fund
On Saturday 30 November 2013, I completed the Grim Challenge 2013 in Aldershot, in memory of Patrick Cody, an awesome friend who was lost long before his time.
The run was 8.something miles with some army obstacles and freezing cold 'puddles', lot's of mud, some tyres, some netting and some trees thrown in.
Having only ever run 4 miles in the past, I am pleased to say that I completed the run in 1:30:41, I even put in a sprint finish!
Pat must have put in a good word up there, as the weather was perfect for running and the atmosphere was amazing, lot's of laughter on the way round (as well as mud)
grimchallenge.co.uk/grim-8/ You can see my pic by putting in my race number 1168 - I took my brothers number so I am on the results table as Matthew Hayman but the pic proves it was me!
Pat was an amazing guy, hilarious and kind and is greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Pat discovered a passion and a vocation at Cherry Trees School and I hope whatever I raise can go a small way to keeping his memory alive there.
All donations greatly appreciated, it's for a great cause!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Cherry Trees School Fund.
