From Soil to Soul: Recipe's for Nature's revival!

I'm a wellbeing teacher and a learning assistant at a university set on a beautiful campus, and I've loved nature all my life. Before this path, I taught biology to hundreds of young people.

Our wellbeing is inseparable from the wellbeing of one another and the living earth. When we care for the soil, nature and the land where our food and products grow, we care for everything: ourselves, our communities, the wildlife and the whole planet. And when we live in harmony with nature something shifts in us - a deep feeling of belonging, joy and peace that lifts our spirit and helps us to feel connected with one another and the planet we live on.

This October, I'm celebrating my birthday by sharing lovely homemade cakes and recipes AND raising funds for the Soil Association's Recipes for Nature's Revival fundraiser  - their 80th anniversary campaign to help farms become places where wildlife flourishes as well as where good soil thrives. Every pound supports rewilding, community and school gardens, allotments, and organic/regenerative farming and advocacy across the UK.

Healthy soil grows food and products that nourishes our bodies, minds, families, and communities. But it's about more than nutrition—it's about transforming our food system so farms (which make up 70% of the land in the UK!) become thriving hubs for wildlife again, not just production spaces.
