My story
It's twenty years ago in 2006 that I got Breast Cancer. In 2016 I completed the Double Bob Graham as a celebration of living ten years. I went on to complete the Double Paddy and the Double Ramsay although Charlie Ramsay didn't really accept my round and called it an "Alternative Double" because of how I did it. Charlie died last year and in his memory and to "put things right" I want to do it "properly" which means completing one whole ACW round and follow it by completing a whole CW round just as Charlie wanted me to.
It's twenty years since I had cancer and I want to celebrate and challenge myself. The Ramsay is the hardest round to do a Double on and so far I'm the only person to have completed a Double of any sort on it. My aim is firstly to finish and hopefully in less than 48 hours but but it would be nice to be faster than my first round of 56 hours.
This is an extremely hard challenge for me. I'm older and not as fast. I know this will test my current physical and mental ability to their maximum. That's why I want to ask for donations. Knowing people are donating to the two charities that mean so much to me will help spur me on when things get tough.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Galloway Mountain Rescue Team and ODYSSEY PROJECT LIMITED.
