RSA Charity Dragon Boat Event

ReardonSmith Architects are taking part in a Charity Event in collaboration with DOCKLAND SAILING CENTRE TRUST.

The aim of the charity is to provide water activities in Sailing, Windsurfing, Kayaking and Canoeing to children living in the East London area. Watersports have the ability to make a difference and to change lives. They also gain valuable life skills such as confidence, self-reliance, independence, teamwork, responsibility, reliability and getting on with others. With Tower Hamlets and East London being one of the most deprived areas in the UK, and having the highest level of child poverty, many children cannot afford activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and canoeing. The DSWC Youth Programme offers children from disadvantaged backgrounds opportunities that they would never have been able to afford.

Next Friday RSA will be taking 2 boats to the Docklands to compete against 12 rival boats. Our team slogan for the event will be: DRAG-ON-A-BOAT. Therefore, in addition to the racing we will be dressing up in drag - yes, drag!
