Jenny Helps Build a Playground in Uganda!

This summer I'm heading out to Uganda to help build a playground in a local primary school! I'll be there for a month, helping dig, build and paint the playground in the morning and running creativity classes with the children in the afternoon. This is all for the charity East African Playgrounds who help develop children's learning opportunities and environments across East Africa.

I've chosen to fundraise for this charity because they are a small charity with an amazing team and you can see exactly where the money is going. The playground is designed by the community to reflect their own needs and local builders are hired for overseeing the project.

For this trip, the minimum I must raise is £700 and this will go towards the playground equipment, local workers wages, art supplies etc. However, I've set my target at £1000 because I think I am able to reach this for such an amazing charity. I'm paying for my accomodation, food, flights and jabs separately so rest assured all money raised will be go straight to the charity!

Raising this money will mean so much to the community that I will work in and every little bit will really help towards reaching my target.
