My story
The EGI Tour of Britain: 950+ Miles for Mental Health
The Challenge
This January, the Compass Group ESS team—specialists in the Energy, Government, and Infrastructure (EGI) sectors—is pushing our limits. We are embarking on a massive virtual journey, covering over 950 miles from the northern reaches of Orkney to the southern tip of Cornwall.
Whether we are walking, running, cycling, or swimming, every mile we clock contributes to our collective goal. We aren't just moving for our own physical and mental wellbeing; we’re moving to change lives.
Why We Are Raising Funds
Mental health affects every one of us, yet far too many people face these challenges alone. We have chosen to support two incredible charities that provide a lifeline to those in need:
Mind: Providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem in England and Wales.
SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health): Working in over 60 communities to provide mental health social care support and services across Scotland.
By undertaking the EGI Tour of Britain, we want to ensure that no matter where you are—from the Highlands to the South West—there is someone there to listen and help.
