Eila Macqueen is raising money for Archaeology Scotland
My story
I'm taking part in an archaeologist-led sponsored walk through the beautiful East Lothian countryside and will be walking 10 miles from West Barns, Dunbar to East Linton (and back) along the John Muir Way, taking in the WWI and WWII remains, an abandoned racecourse and golf course, visible agriculture improvements, sites of cist burials and roundhouses, the fabulous Preston Mill, historic Prestonkirk and more. The return route includes East Linton post medieval village, Linn Rocks waterfall, Phantassie Doocot, a standing stone, a designed landscape and back to West Barns. I'm hoping to raise at least £50 to help Archaeology Scotland continue our valuable work
