Ella Turner is raising money for Halton Cancer Support Group
A few months ago, the idea of running 5K would have had me laughing...or hiding. I've recently started the Couch to 5K programme, and let's just say the "couch" part used to be more my style. Previously, I wouldn't have run if something (or someone) was chasing me, but here I am, voluntarily signing up to run 5K in July. This is my way of challenging myself, proving that change is possible, and hopefully making it to the finish line, and in one piece!
More importantly, I'm doing this for a cause that's very close to home. Cancer has touched far too many people in my life, including my mum and my nan, and we sadly lost my brother-in-law to the disease. Friends and colleagues have faced it too, and the list is far too long. I'm raising money for Halton Cancer Support, a local charity that provides vital counselling, information, support and holistic therapies for those affected. If my slightly reluctant running can help support even a small part of the incredible work they do, then every step (and every ache!) will be worth it.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Halton Cancer Support Group.

Stretch & Stability Session 12 with Runna ✅
Path to parkrun Plan (Week 13/13)
In this Stretch & Stability session, we’ll move through hip resets, spinal stretches, and core toning to help you move and recover better. This one’s light but focused—ideal before a run or on a rest day. You’ll feel more switched on with every rep.
No wall or equipment needed.
Yoga Session 3 with Runna ✅
Path to parkrun Plan (Week 13/13)
This recovery flow is specifically designed to support tired calves. Expect slower movements and longer, deeper holds that promote blood flow, reduce stiffness, and help your lower legs move more freely. A great way to ease tension, aid circulation, and support smoother, more comfortable running in your next sessions.
