Elma's Skydive to raise funds for The Scottish Cancer Foundation

Be very careful what you wish for................
Having said on more than one occasion how much I would love to do a skydive my husband took me at my word and gave me it as a Christmas gift last year. I am so excited and looking forward to it but I am sure the nerves may kick in on the actual day. Only the weather will stop me though! I have booked it for the 1st September and have decided to do it for charity to make it more worthwhile.

The charity I have chosen is Scottish Cancer Foundation which is based at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. The reason I have chosen this particular charity is that firstly it is close to home but most importantly the cause is very close to my heart having lost a number of special friends and family to this most awful disease and Ninewells was the hospital involved in their treatment and care. As we know cancer touches the lives of so many people and causes so much pain and suffering for both patients and the people left behind. The work that is done to try to find a cure is invaluable and if I can give something towards advancing the research then I would love to do so.

So while I fly high I am hoping you will all dig deep.
