Elspeth's Abseil

Event date: 5th September 2010

Elspeth Hardie is raising money for Severn Area Rescue Association

My story

Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) are holding a sponsored Abseil to raise funds for replacing the SARA3 lifeboat at the Beachley Lifeboat station and would like to ask for you to support us in this event by sponsoring us now.

After 15 years of life saving service SARA3 now needs to be replaced. Your assistance will help us continue to provide our life saving service to your local communities. The SARA3 lifeboat is called out regularly on the Severn, Usk and Wye etc only recently it was involved in 3 separate call outs within a 24 our period.

The SARA Abseil will take place on Sunday 5th September at the National Dive Centre in Chepstow and consist of a 200ft abseil onto a floating pontoon.

Your donation and support will be most appreciated and will help to save lives in our region for the next 15 years, so please support us now by donating.

If you would like to take part, please contact d.thompson@sara-rescue.org.uk

Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) is the declared lifeboat for the rivers Severn, Usk, Wye, Avon and many more upstream, as well as the Mountain Rescue team for the area. (Registered Charity No: 505504)
