My story

Hey all!! I’m running Brighton marathon (yes I think I’ve lost the plot) on 12th April 2026 and will be fundraising for two amazing charities. If you know me you’ll know I’ve never been a runner but I’m excited (and mostly scared) for the challenge and to hopefully raise some money for two amazing charities 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 wish me luck!

All donations will be split (50/50) between Motor Neurone Disease Association and Say Aphasia, helping to fund vital research, support services, and advocacy for people living with MND and aphasia.

Any donations, big or small, would mean the world. Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A little bit about the two charities:

MNDA:
The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) supports people living with motor neurone disease (MND), a rapidly progressive neurological condition that affects approximately 5,000 people in the UK at any one time. They also support families and carers across the UK. MNDA funds vital research into the causes and treatments of MND, provides essential specialist care and equipment, and campaigns to improve access to care and support.
For more info, please have a look at their website here: mndassociation.org

SayAphasia:
Say Aphasia supports people living with aphasia — a language impairment/communication disability that can result from a stroke, brain injury, brain tumors or other neurological conditions. Aphasia can impact someone’s speech, understanding, reading and writing. In turn, this can impact relationships with family and friends, feeling a loss of identity, social withdrawal and emotional and psychological wellbeing. SayAphasia work so hard to raise awareness and understanding of aphasia. They run friendly drop-in groups and offer support that helps people rebuild confidence, make friends, and feel understood. They fill a huge gap by providing understanding, community, and hope for those living with aphasia.
For more info or for lots of aphasia friendly information, please have a read of their website here: sayaphasia.org
