Equans Lake District Hill Walk - St Oswald's dry rot rescue!

The St Oswald's charity was founded in 2018 to restore and bring back to community use the St Oswald's church in the heart of Bruntsfield. Having since successfully acquired the property from the Edinburgh council and repaired and renovated the roof, we now embark on the next steps of renovating the interior for community use. Based on the community consultation carried out in 2019 and refreshed in 2025, these include using the small hall for venue hire, dances, exercise/martial arts/yoga, and performance rehearsal and the Church nave being used as a 'theatre in the round' circular performance/learning/lecture/musical space produced by the unique and talented Pianodrome team.

As we start these next steps, part of the interior works requires addressing various targeted areas of dry rot which arose during the period prior to the roof works being undertaken, and help in raising funds for this purpose will be tremendously useful.
