Esmé and Ophelia's epic Dales Way walk

Esmé (9) and Ophelia (9) are walking 85 miles in 7 days to raise money for Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue. That's quite a feat for two 9 year olds, but they're both determined to complete this adventure before they turn 10!

They have always loved going on adventures together, with this one being their biggest yet. In the past, they've conquered the likes of Bowfell in the Lake District, all three of the Yorkshire Peaks (not on the same day though!) and quite a few of the Wainwrights around the Lakes. Whilst these are all impressive in their own right, they don't quite match the commitment on show here to endure a 7 day walk, come rain or shine.

They are both preparing for their epic walk by getting in some practice walks each weekend, increasing the distance each time. 

We would greatly appreciate whatever you are able to donate. Any donation, now matter how big or small will really make a difference and put a smile on the girls' faces (kids just love being congratulated by adults).

We've been talking to some of the volunteers at Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue are they're delighted we're helping support their amazing work and to be able to contribute help finishing building their new, warmer, home.
