My story
The Pyjama fairies charity is run entirely by volunteers (who they like to call fairies because the create magic!) The charity started with a simple goal: to create and distribute beautiful pyjamas and surgical gowns that give children an emotional boost and remind them that they are not defined by their illness.
Many children require long-term and repeat procedures, something as simple as wearing an individual, fun and colourful gown can act as a distraction and provide focus away from the often hash reality of the situation.
Through the hard work and nimble fingers of the volunteers the charity has been able to donate over 10,000 this year alone.
