My story

Hi I'm Felix!

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma in October 2023. It is a rare cancer in the lymph system that I knew nothing about until the doctors said it was what I had.  I was diagnosed really quickly after being ill for a few weeks and am currently having Chemotherapy at the QMC in Nottingham.

All of the staff on Ward E39 have been amazing to me through my treatment and diagnosis so I would love to raise some money for them. This would go to new equipment and toys and to help children like me.

I am also raising money for Young Live vs Cancer who are a cancer charity for children, young people and their families.

From Felix's Mum;
When Felix was diagnosed in October we were hugely shocked and overwhelmed. It just isn't what you expect to hear for an 8 year old, healthy and happy boy. Felix has approached his treatment with the most amazing bravery. Through my tears he kept me laughing and dragged me through. He always has a smile for everyone and has taken everything on board, learning about every little bit of his treatment, blood tests and scans with the such interest and intrigue. He is my HERO.

The staff on E39 have kept us all going, treating us with the most amazing care. They make a situation which feels terrifying seem totally normal and OK. They have been so kind to Felix and I will never be able to thank them enough. Our contact with Young Lives vs Cancer was with us from day one and so helpful.

Felix and I have walked miles throughout his treatment, it has been our therapy so he has chosen to put the walking to good use. Any donation would be so appreciated.

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Nottingham Hospitals Charity and Young Lives vs Cancer.
