Remembering Joy Kirkness
Richard John Mathews is raising money for DEBRA
My story
Many years ago Joy and I were spectators at the London Marathon. For some reason a father, who was competing in the race, stopped to speak to Joy. He was running for Debra as his young daughter suffered from this awful condition. When we returned home, Joy immediately decided to support the charity with a regular donation and has done so ever since. This has of course now finished but I feel this a fitting way to remember her.
