LEIGHTON'S CHARITY BOXING DAY DIP

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT: I've been talked into doing a 'Boxing Day Dip' in Sunderland (the 'dip' bit being in the North Sea) and the ONLY reason I've agreed to this is because it's for a VERY good cause!

THE GOOD CAUSE: There's a little boy called Leighton who is a pupil at the Sunningdale School in Sunderland.

The Sunningdale School is a sole specialist provider for children with profound, multiple and complex learning needs.

The school is a place where children feel safe, their individual needs are catered for and where parents can be assured that caring, dedicated professional staff will use every possible approach to help their children develop to their full potential.

It takes a lot of hard work but Sunningdale is supported by a number of organisations local, regional and national.

In addition Changing Lives (the Sunningdale Charity) and Friends of Sunningdale organise a wide range of regular social events which support the school.

The school desperately need a new Hydrotherapy Swimming Pool - not only for Leighton but for all the other children who attend this school and to help them raise the money they need, me and lots of other people:

• Leightons Splash Attacks;

• Sunnigdale Stars;

• and Team Leighton

have decided to go for a little swim in the North Sea.....on Boxing Day!

This is part of the 36th annual 'Boxing Day Dip' at Seaburn Beach in Sunderland.

YOUR HELP: It's clearly going to be VERY cold and very WET and to add to this, we're are getting dressed up in fancy dress - I'm dressing up as a Bunny Rabbit - yes, a Bunny Rabbit along with my Mother and a few other family members!

So, this really will be quite a sight and I'm sure, highly amusing - I'm assured there will be plenty of photo/video evidence so I've set up this page to ask if you can please, please, please sponsor me/us?

We're trying to raise as much money as possible!
