Ian Hedges is raising money for Stepping Stones-District Specialist Centre For Children With Special Needs
My story
I am cycling from my house in Melksham to Weymouth on September 27th!
I want to raise money for Stepping Stones in tribute to my boy Dowie who has shown me that having Trisomy 8 doesn't stop him teaching me things, being inspirational and just plain cool!
I want to do this for my girl Jasmine who is going through the diagnosis for autism.
I want to do it for me, an autistic man who struggled in a time when places like this just didn't exist.
But most especially I want to do this for you! The unnamed and unknown person who will receive such brilliant support from this incredible and deserving charity!

Tomorrow is ride day! This experience has been the privilege of my life to be involved in! I will try not to let you all down! You've made this mission wildly successful and now I'm going to bring it home!
With a whole week still to go, we have smashed target after target!
The latest one to go was £2500! A brilliant mile stone and a credit to the support Stepping Stones has received from around the world!
Let's keep pushing and see how much we can raise but at this stage I feel like it's mission accomplished!
2 months ago I set my target at £1000 for this event! With 5 weeks to go until the finale of this mission, there's a very good chance that we can double that target! £2000 is calling. Can we make it happen?
We have smashed the £1000 first target and are well on the way to hitting the second! All money raised goes to help this incredible children's charity! I'm so proud of this collective team effort! We've had more than 50 contributors so far! Id love to get more than 100!
