Rob's Cycling from Vienna to Prague

After a few too many beers over Christmas I decided to sign up for a group bike ride in the summer, from Vienna to Prague. As I have never owned a road bike, or really done any meaningful cycling, I may well have bitten off more than I can chew! You'll be pleased to know I purchased a road bike at the start of March.

The ride is over 3 days, and consists of 80 miles per day and a near 1,500m elevation change.... daily! This is like riding up Ben Nevis once a day.... I might need a few Lucozades.

Myself and the wider group are raising money for 3 great charities:

Momentum Children’s Charity: an amazing organisation that supports families across the South East whose children have been diagnosed with cancer or a life-challenging condition.

Rethink Mental Illness: a charity that provides expert information and services to improve the lives of people living and suffering with mental illness, as well as offering support to their friends and family.

Triangle Adventure Playground: a fantastic cause that keeps London’s oldest on site adventure playground going. This charity offers so much more than just a place to play for some of the most economically and socially disadvantaged young people in my home Borough, Lambeth.
