Gemma does strictly

When I first heard about Strictly for Shelter, I knew it would be a challenge (I mean, who wouldn’t be nervous about dancing in front of a crowd!). But what pushed me to say yes is the cause behind it.
Shelter helps people who don’t have the safety and security of a home. I know how much stability, comfort, and a safe space mean in life, it’s something none of us should take for granted. The thought of families, young people, and individuals not having that really struck a chord with me.
So, while I’ll be learning steps, spins, and probably laughing through a few missteps along the way, the bigger picture is what keeps me motivated. If dancing can raise awareness and funds to help even one more person find the security of a home, then every sore muscle and every bit of stage fright will be worth it.
This is more than just a dance competition, it’s about doing something joyful, positive, and meaningful for people who need it most.
