Gemma's Loch Leven Half Marathon

I'm running my first half marathon on 9 May. It's the Loch Leven half marathon in Kinross and I'm raising funds for Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary.

This is a small charity staffed by volunteers who rescue greyhounds (and other sighthounds) who are often discarded by the racing industry once they are too old/slow or injured.

They do a fantastic job on very limited resources as there is a never ending supply of these beautiful and gentle dogs awaiting rescue - many aren't so lucky to even reach a rescue. Often the dogs have suffered horrific racing injuries when they come into SGS and these are very costly to treat. So it's not just the general care, fostering, rehoming (many of the dogs have never known a proper home only a racing kennel) and neutering costs which need to be covered. Fund raising is absolutely essential to keep the charity going so every penny you donate will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.
