Laura & George's Sponsored Dog Walk

On March 27th George and I ventured out on a walk in Guisborough Forest and Walk Way in an attempt to raise money for Teesside Hospice.

This charity is very close to my heart after my wonderful grandad stayed there. The charity does fantastic work caring for terminally ill people, allowing them to live their last days with dignity and respect.

As I am now between Middlesbrough and Huddersfield I have not managed to ask people if they would like to sponsor me and was not sure whether i would be able to complete the walk on the day. As it turned out a last minute trip was made to Barnard Castle to collect George- he was cruelly ripped away from the comforts of the Smith caravan so he could compltere the walk! He was very brave and spent the night away from Jack and Henry, making the cause even more worthy! Although the walk wasn't very long we took a wrong turn and completed the route in reverse, instead of having a nice run down all the big hills we climbed up them, and I am sure we went the long way round.

All your donations really are appreciated and I thank each one of you who chooses to donate. I understand that times are tight and there are many worthy charities but Teesside Hospice has remained close to my heart.
