Giving back to Gift of a Wedding

We are fundraising in aid Gift of a Wedding, they are a charity who organise weddings and Vow Renewals for people who have terminal illnesses.

Last September my husband Al was diagnosed with terminal Osephegeous Cancer and was given 3 to 6 months without treatment, 12 months with Chemo alone and hopefully longer with immunotherapy. We had always planned to renew our vows on our 10th wedding anniversary, as our photographer had ruined the photos and tainted our memories of our special day.

In January he applied to Gift of a Wedding without me knowing and arranged for them to help us renew our vows, as he has had to give up work because of the affects of his illness and side effects from treatment, so there would have been no way we could have done it alone. We renewed our Vows on Friday and had an amazing day, making memories we will cherish forever.

My cousin Ŕuth has organised a fundraising event at Little Hulton Cricket Club on the 29th April, proceeds from the night will be going to Gift of a Wedding, if you are free and would like to come and help us raise some money Tickets are £5.
