Event dates: 23rd April 2019 – 1st September 2019
Galloway MRT is raising money for Galloway Mountain Rescue Team
On a weekend in July 2019, Mark Hannay, is attempting to climb Cairnsmore of Fleet (711 metres) in the Galloway Hills, not once but as many times, non-stop, as is required to match the height of Mount Everest (8848m) .
Mark's Challenge starts and finishes each time at a height of 60 metres which means he will need to do 14 ascents and descents of Cairnsmore of Fleet which dominates the skyline above Newton Stewart. Not only will Mark be climbing the height of Everest but also walking approximately 86 miles - all in two days!
Mark's Everest Challenge is to raise money for the Galloway Mountain Rescue Team and all donations will go towards the cost of replacing and updating the Team's equipment.
Galloway Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary service providing search and rescue assistance to those in need in the Galloway area of south-west Scotland.
Your support with Mark's mega challenge is very much appreciated. Please do share this page with family and friends.
Thank you for your support.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Galloway Mountain Rescue Team.
