My story
The grant that has been supporting the School Nurse at Uphill Junior School in rural Uganda has come to an end and we haven't been able to secure a replacement. So I have pledged to raise the money to cover the salary costs for the next 12 months!
And how am I going to do this?
For the past few years I have taken part in the Scottish Classic Motorcycle Club's annual Scotia Challenge, riding to up to 45 points around Scotland and it's islands on my motorcycle. Having snapped a photo of the bike in front the required church/memorial/standing stone/water fountain/bridge/dam etc the photos are submitted to the organiser. The awards are the same each year - an engraved whisky glass - and the level of the award depends on the number of points achieved and the age of the motorcycle.
I already have bronze and silver award glasses in my cupboard, but this year I am going for GOLD... for UPHILL!
Please can you help me to fund the Uphill School Nurse?
A little of what we have here goes a long way in rural Uganda and £1,000 will cover the nurse's salary costs for a year!
