Great South Run for Yellow Door

As some of you guys will know I work for a local charity in Southampton called Yellow Door. Yellow Door support people in Southampton and Hampshire who have been impacted by domestic and/or sexual abuse. Last year alone Yellow Door supported over 4500 local people who have been impacted by abuse. I'm sure you'll agree this is a staggering number of people who are affected and this is why I want to raise some money for the charity. Any donations that can be given will be greatly appreciated and here is a few ideas of what your donation may be able to get for the service:

• £10 - could provide transport costs for an ISVA client to attend a trial at court
• £15 - could pay for healthy food for children attending one of our 12 week therapeutic programmes.
• £20 -could pay for resources so our STAR Project can deliver preventative educational workshops in schools
• £50 -could pay for a counselling session for someone who has experienced sexual abuse/violence

Day to day I see the impact that domestic and sexual abuse has on service users, and know how vital services like Yellow Door are. My legs will be burning by the end of the run, so please dig deep if you can. Thanks.
