Wye Valley Walk

The Garden Science Trust works mainly with people with learning difficulties or other barriers to education and training, to develop their skills and potential through gardening and science.

I've been a Trustee of this immensely worthwhile charity for the past year and this summer I'm doing my bit of practical fundraising.

Starting on July 28th, I'm walking 75 miles from Hay-on-Wye to Chepstow, following the route of the glorious Wye Valley Way. I'm hoping to call on your generosity to encourage my weary footsteps up the stiffest climbs! I'm aiming to raise £600 which will pay for things such as:

A small group of high school students who are not succeeding at school to work with us on a practical project, taking responsibility for their behaviour and building self esteem by achievement. (£100)

PLUS

An adult with learning difficulties to attend 8 sessions of garden science, learning practical gardening, working in a team, communication skills and finishing tasks. (£200)

A little goes a long way and whatever amount you can give, joining with the those of others, makes a huge difference to peoples' lives.
