Half Marathon Challenge

I am a mum and partner to my beautiful daughter and loving partner. I was struggling and felt I needed someone to talk to. I found the charity to be so helpful to me the last few months. I have wanted some counselling for quite some time but it felt out of reach due to finances. Then I found Somewhere House Somerset.

What a wonderful service for people like me. I felt so grateful. I hope more people will discover this service who really need it but perhaps don’t know about it. I hope to raise some awareness of the service to people of West Somerset. A deprived area where I am sure there are people in need of some help. I have decided to get sponsored to run a half marathon on 11th April 2021 to try and raise money for such a valuable charity.

We are living in such challenging times and the therapists who work for Somewhere House Somerset are a lifeline for some people. They dedicate their time for those in need. I hope by raising some money that I can show my appreciation for being able to use this service. I will run a half marathon distance in April. I find running to be a great outlet for any stress or sadness that I may be feeling. I encourage anyone who suffers to try and get out for a walk or run. It really helps.

I thank Christian in particular for holding a space for me to allow me to visit parts of me that have been neglected but so badly needed to be acknowledged.
