2014 London Marathon for Action Tutoring

On 13 April 2014, I will be running the London Marathon. I am fundraising on behalf of Action Tutoring, an organisation which works together with inner city schools with a high percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals to provide volunteer tutors for Maths and English GCSE. Action Tutoring aims to help students on the D/C boundary to achieve 5 A*- C grades at GCSE, including in English and Maths. Achieving this significantly improves students' chances of going on to further education, employment or training.

I volunteered with Action Tutoring in 2012 as a Maths tutor, and saw first-hand the difference that one and half hours a week of one-on-one tutoring can make.

Action Tutoring has grown rapidly in the last few years, and has ambitious plans to continue expanding. Any donation would be greatly appreciated, and will go directly to Action Tutoring.
