Hamburg to Malmo – the personal one
 
In 2021, in the height of the pandemic, a group of friends from Muswell Hill took to their bikes to raise over £30k to save their local nursery. Spurred on by the dual highs of cycling and raising money for amazing causes we have repeated this fundraising initiative year after year, first from London to Paris and then last year London to Amsterdam raising an additional total of over £30k for four incredible charities. 
 
This year will probably be our last fundraising cycle ride and it has got personal. We have decided to travel from Hamburg to Malmo, another ride of approximately 550km but with much more challenging terrain and this time we would love to smash our previous fundraising amounts and raise for two incredible charities very close to our hearts.
 
Earlier this year, someone very close to Naomi lost their new born baby.  From the most tragic of circumstances, we wanted to find some good and we have chosen to ride for Sands who are dedicated to providing emotional support and information right from the early hours after a baby's death, through to the weeks, months and years ahead.
 
Our second charity is also borne from personal experience.  Lea’s sister in law was diagnosed with Lymphoma earlier this year.  In fact, 1 person every 26 minutes in the UK is diagnosed with Lymphoma and Lymphoma Action provides much needed information and support to impacted families ensuring no-one has to face this illness alone.
  
We are just a group of local mums trying to raise money for amazing charities. Please help us make a small difference to two incredible causes so close to our hearts this year. All donations go straight to the charity (the ride is fully self-funded) and aided by corporate sponsorship.
