First of all, thank you sincerely for the support and encouragement many of you have already shown our campaign. We still have some distance to go to reach our £10,000 target, but with people like you standing alongside us, we truly believe it is possible.
Since launching this appeal in December, we have already come a long way. Step by step, your support has helped us move closer to creating a stable base for our work. We are now in the process of securing a space where we will be able to support more women, young people and diaspora families through our programmes.
This year’s International Women’s Day reminded us why this work matters so deeply.
Around the world we celebrate the achievements, strength and progress of women. Yet for many women who have been forced to leave their homes, the struggle for safety, dignity and opportunity continues long after the headlines fade.
For them, courage is not something symbolic. It is something they must rely on every single day.
Through our internship programme and community initiatives, we help diaspora youth and women regain confidence, develop real skills, and step into workplaces where they can contribute meaningfully. The stories you see today in organisations across our platforms began with someone being given a small opportunity and a community believing in their potential.
This is why your support matters so much.
Every donation, every shared link, and every conversation that spreads awareness helps us continue creating pathways for young people and women who simply need the chance to be seen, supported and trusted.
If anyone within the community would like to donate, share the campaign, advocate for this work, or simply reach out to learn more about what we do, we would be deeply grateful to connect.
Warm Regards,
The Team at Awesta.
