Rich Price is raising money for North Wales Recovery Communities
North Wales Recovery Communities Is a charity supporting people in recovery from substance misuse.
In 2022 we acquired new premises. Hillgrove school will be undergoing refurbishment throughout 2023. When phase 1 is completed, it will comprise of an 18 bedroom house, plus a variety of communal living and dining areas ready for the transition of our current model at Penrhyn House.
Hillgrove has a huge amount of potential. The many classrooms and ancillary buildings are also earmarked for future development, one of them being the old junior block which we plan to transform into a new 'Wellbeing Suite' which will play host to a new gym, yoga/mindfulness room and counselling room. It goes without saying that improvement of Physical and mental health is key to a successful recovery.
Many residents enter local PARK RUNS and various other running events including the 2023 Snowdonia trail marathon, with a top 10 finish in the 10k!!
Rich Price benefited immensely from the services provided by the charity and recently completed the Lakeland 50 amongst other events in which funds were raised for the Wellbeing suite.
Rich wrote:
"Running, and more recently Ultra Running has played a major part in my recovery from alcohol addiction and I have been fortunate to enter some fantastic events.
Your support will make a difference to peoples lives, make no bones about it. It will bring hope to people who, let's face it, at times didn't have much. It will integrate recovery into the community and help lower the stigma associated with addiction.
In addition to the individual benefit, every £1 spent on recovery saves society approximately £7 by way of a reduction in areas such as healthcare, crime and employment.
I am a firm believer in accountability, so your sponsorship will encourage me to go the extra mile in support of this vital cause for an organisation that quite literally saved my life."
We need your support, and plenty of it! We are setting the bar at £70,000 and I know that with your help, WE CAN DO IT.
