HomeServe Virtual Quiz

Event date: 8th October 2020

HomeServe is raising money for Samaritans (of Walsall & District)

My story

It’s World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2020 and to celebrate we are inviting you to join a company wide virtual quiz on:
Thursday 8 October, 7.30pm-9.30pm via Zoom.

The aim of World Mental Health Day is to educate and raise awareness of mental health issues around the world. It’s also an opportunity to normalise conversations surrounding mental health, advocate against social stigma and promote the support services available.

We all have mental health, just like physical health and this is what makes up our overall wellbeing. Mental health issues can affect anyone at any time so it’s important we take care of ourselves. Mental ill-health doesn't discriminate, it touches the lives of people in every corner of society.

The quiz will raise money for Samaritans Walsall.

The Samaritans are a fantastic charity providing emotional support to people all year round for those struggling or in crises, including those who are feeling suicidal. They work in partnership with many organisations to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention.

The Walsall and District branch supports a population of over 300,000 members of Walsall and the surrounding areas. They celebrated their 50th year in 2019, and for half a century have forged vital links within the community via their outreach team.

The pandemic, as for most charities and not-for-profit groups, is the biggest challenge Samaritans has ever faced. They need to continue providing vital support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to be there for everyone who needs them.

Steve Gifford from Samaritans Walsall will be hosting - he has a fun-filled evening planned with prizes up for grabs!

We hope you can join us! Family/friends are welcome to take part too.

There is a £2 per head entry fee to join - donate now to take part!
