Ian Smith is raising money for The Air Ambulance Service

My story

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO OUR 'INSPIRATION' JACK - NOW 12 HAVING A MAJOR OPERATION DELAYED UNTIL 28 JUNE WE HAVE HAD TO RESCHEDULE TO END SEPTEMBER>APOLOGIES BUT AS HIS DAD IS OUR 'TEAM LEADER' WE FELT IT BEST TO DELAY RATHER THAN GO WITHOUT HIM
On 26 June 2010 (NOW 29 SEPT) I and a few friends will be setting off from London (well slighly north actually)cycling to Harwich, Ferry to Hook of Holland then cycling to Amsterdam and then Brussels. We plan to arrive in Brussels on Tuesday evening, then Eurostar home on Wednesday.Its about 300 miles all in all, however I suspect the distance travelled will be nearer 330 as weplan to avoid main roads, and use cycleways where available.

Have decided to support Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance for two main reasons:
1 a worthy cause, totally unfunded by HM Government(s);
2 they saved the life of a friend's son after a heart attack (aged 9).

Obviously I hope never to need the Air Ambulance itself, however it provides a valuable service (as do all the Air Ambulances nationally) enabling transport to major treatment centres nationwide in the minimum time to both accident victims and those struck down by conditions requiring emergency treatment.

See wnaa.co.uk/ for more details.

Thanks
