Movember

Those of you that have seen my previous attempts at sporting 'facial hair' will understand the ridiculousness of the sentence: "Richard Boyle's growing a moustache for charity". This isn't going to be glorious. It's not going to be dignified. The best I can hope for is that it'll be entertaining, and maybe help some people in the process.

This year I'm committing to an entire month of looking foolish and I'll be sharing people's reactions and maybe even a few pictures as we go.

I've chosen the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative run by the Imperial College Trust. SCI works with the World Health Organisation and governments across sub-Saharan Africa to treat children and at-risk adults against several parasitic diseases. The charity has treated over 100 million people in the last ten years and is remarkable in that the cost of treatment is approximately 50p per person per year.
