As we remember Yvonne, we are choosing to honour her life in a way that reflects both her heart and her story. Instead of flowers, we invite you to support Young Lives vs Cancer, a cause that holds deep meaning for her and for our family.

Yvonne sadly lost her mum to cancer at a young age, a loss that stayed with her throughout her life. Her son, Dean Russell, a much loved member of the family, also faced his own journey with cancer from his late teens into adulthood. Over that time, he has fought more than one form of the disease with incredible strength and resilience, undergoing life-saving stem cell treatment along the way, and is here today as a testament to that fight. Throughout it all, Yvonne never left his side, supporting him with the same strength and love that defined her. Because of this, the work carried out by this charity is something we feel profoundly connected to and deeply grateful for.

Yvonne had a true love for flowers, they brought her joy, peace, and a sense of beauty in the everyday. But standing right beside that love was a quiet strength and compassion, especially when it came to the fight against cancer. Supporting this cause is something she would have wholeheartedly believed in.

In 2025, her grandson Kieran Russell, ran the London Marathon in support of Cancer charities, carrying forward a cause that meant so much to Yvonne. She was immensely proud of him, and it stands as another reflection of the love, strength and resilience that defines our family.
