Our story
We are raising money in loving memory of our mum, Eileen Topping — a woman known for her hospitality and her instinctive kindness. No one ever left her home hungry, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
As the eldest of seven children, Mum grew up understanding responsibility, resilience, and the importance of looking out for those around her. She carried those values into adulthood, building a large and lively family of her own. With her children, grandchildren, and extended family, she created a home where there was always room for one more, always another seat at the table, always enough to share.
Because of this, we have chosen to support Compassion Acts, a local charity dedicated to alleviating poverty through its food bank, food pantry, and vital support services. Their work reflects the values Mum lived every day — caring for people, sharing what you have, and ensuring no one goes without.
To honour her generous spirit, we have chosen to support Compassion Acts, a local charity working to alleviate poverty through food banks, food pantries, and essential support services. Their mission reflects the values Mum lived by every day.
Thank you for helping us continue Eileen’s legacy of compassion and care.

Eileen sounds like a remarkable woman who cared about others. Something that is sadly declining in todays society... This charity is filling some of the void following her passing..
