In Memory Of Poppy

Yesterday I decided to sub in for someone doing the MK Half Marathon, with less than a week to-go.

(not something I ever thought I’d ever say)

On Friday, we had to put our dog to sleep. She still had some dignity left — but cancer had taken over.

Her name was Poppy. And if I’m honest, this is a big part of why I said yes to the run.
Would I recommend doing a half marathon off the cuff? Absolutely not.

But I want to do this in her memory. I’ll be raising money for HCBW — a charity that supports the welfare of Boxers.

Because the truth is… not just Boxers, but all dogs give us something pretty rare — love without conditions, and without judgement.
