Brendan O' Reilly is raising money for Birmingham Irish Cycle Appeal
My story
Between July 19th and 26th 2024 , I will cycle the 32 counties of Ireland (approximately 600 miles ) with fantastic friends from the Birmingham Irish Cycle appeal (BICA). We will be fundraising for Multiple charities including one extremely close to my heart.
In 2011 my Daughter Niamh was diagnosed with Leukaemia at the age of 2. Throughout her treatment and recovery the charity, Beads of Courage UK Greatly supported my entire family. Patients receive a bead of courage at every stage of treatment ,these are joined together to form a physical representation of their recovery. In many instances the string of Beads can be in excess of 300.
The beads of Courage help to decrease illness related distress and increase positive coping strategies to support children and their families. throughout their journey.
Beads of courage UK is a fantastic organisation dealing with childhood cancer and other chronic or life threatening Childhood illnesses.
