James Slough is raising money for New Hope Christian Counselling
So last year I was meant to be doing the Thames Path Ultra Challenge (100k from Fulham to Henley) but due to some global pandemic it got cancelled! I'm pleased to say I'm attempting it again this year (despite having a minor setback of damaged ligaments from a badly twisted ankle earlier in the year) and am raising money for New Hope Counselling - a counselling agency based in Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon & Kenilworth that seeks to offer affordable counselling to everyone in South Warwickshire who needs it. They have been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic, having to swiftly move to remote working and making sure everyone who was willing and comfortable with it was able to do it safely - not easy with a team of nearly 40 counsellors! More information about the work they do can be found on their website newhopecounselling.org.uk
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto New Hope Christian Counselling.
RSPB Otmoor circular walk (including stops at hides/screens)
Thames Path Ultra Challenge Second Half (retired at 63k)
Thames Path Ultra Challenge First Half
If anyone wants to live track me throughout the challenge you can do so here: livetrail.net/live/thamespathchallenge/coureur.php?rech=3045
3 days to go until the start and having an easy week to let my blisters heal. Having walked a total of 88km last week, walking 100k in 2 days feels slightly more achievable than it did previously! Thank you to everyone who has already donated :)
