Gemma’s 400km Jason Robinson Foundation Cycle Challenge 2026

2 years on, I'm doing it again. But this time...there are more hills and more miles. And I'm still not a cyclist...

All young people deserve the opportunity to realise their full potential. Despite living in one of the richest countries in the world, shockingly over 4 million children (3 in 10) live in poverty across the UK. It is statistically very difficult to break that cycle of poverty without proven targeted interventions that create opportunities to succeed.

I am taking on a highly ambitious challenge to cycle c.400km over 3 days on the perilous mountainous roads of Corsica along with the team at the Jason Robinson Foundation. Think hills, potholes and heat (in addition to stunning scenery!).  Any donation (however large or small) would be hugely appreciated.

The Jason Robinson Foundation is a grassroots UK charity who aim to transform young people's lives who experience barriers to learning, opportunity, and employment, through the power of sport. Sports teach children concentration, time management, discipline, and many other skills. In fact, the Aspen Institute's Project Play Report reports that children who participate in sports score 40% higher in exams, are 15% more likely to go to university, and go on to receive 7-8% higher earnings than their peers.

The Jason Robinson Foundation's impact is measured in 4 ways:
1. Healthy habits and active lifestyles
2. Being positive and developing resilience
3. Making good choices
4. Being a positive role model for others

I'm not going to lie, this is going to be tough.  THANK YOU so much for your support - it means a lot to me but more importantly will make a meaningful difference to young people's lives.
