Jean’s London Marathon 2024 fundraiser for Links

It’s amazing to be taking on this challenge once again! I feel privileged to have a place on the greatest marathon on earth, an event that people travel the world for. As a grandma, I’m so lucky to have a body that means I can even try to run a marathon!

This year I’m so proud to be running London Marathon 2024 for Links, an inspiring charity, you may not even have heard of. Links were established in 1985 and are passionate about connecting people to confront poverty and create potential. They do life changing work with partners around the world to provide long term sustainable solutions in key areas of health, education and justice.

Links believe that genuine transformation is possible, and if we continue to do nothing, things will only get worse and we will continue to drown in our own comfort and apathy. When we work side by side with one another, amazing things are possible! Links are now working in approximately 60 nations to set free many thousands of people from poverty and transform entire communities by providing a ‘hand up, not hand out’.
