Brooklands school fundraising

Event date: 16th February 2014

Jen Phillips is raising money for The Friends of Brooklands School

My story

My name is Jen Phillips.
I am trying to raise Brooklands School £500 by running Brightons Half Marathon on Febuary 16th 2014.
For those of you that are not aware my Nephew attends Brooklands.

Brooklands is a specialised school in Reigate for disabled children and children with learning difficulties.

Since his enrolment at the school his development has increased dramatically and with the help from the caring, kind and supportive staff he is reaching his milestones and his communication and awareness has seen a incredible result.

Brooklands offer parents of disabled children on going support and make a worrying or tough time for parents more relaxed and go the extra mile to offer or find support for the parents aswel as the children.

Abit about me...I am challenging myself to run 13 miles in Brightons Half Marathon.
I am not athletic, certainly not a runner, jogger or even a power walker!! But i have made a promise to my Nephew and also myself that i will complete the 13miles and do my best to reach my target of £1000,
This is my own personal way of saying a big thankyou on behalf of myself and my Family to everyone involved in Brooklands
have been in touch with members of the school to find out what £1000 could provide them with. They are desperate for Ipads, theese are proven to help children who cannot communicate through speech or sign to interact and learn. Another project is the new nursery. £1000 could provide sensory equipment, playground equipment, books, the list is endless.
I have also been invited to the school to say what equipment or technology i want to provide so we can all be apart of the school.

Thankyou for reading my page any donation would be greatly apreciated.

thank you..........Wish me luck!!!!
